Bomas of Kenya is a national cultural centre in the Lang’ata area of Nairobi that recreates the traditional homesteads of Kenya’s ethnic communities and stages a daily performance of traditional music and dance. "Boma" is Swahili for a homestead or enclosure.
Established to preserve and promote Kenya’s rich cultural heritage, Bomas lets visitors walk through model villages representing different communities and then watch a professional troupe perform dances, songs and rituals drawn from across the country in the large auditorium. It’s part open-air museum, part live show.

Bomas is in Lang’ata, near the main gate of Nairobi National Park — about 10–20 km from the CBD, or 20–40 minutes by road.
