Who we are

Who is Safari Capital?

Safari Capital is a private Nairobi tour operator specialising in wildlife and day tours in and around the capital, plus tailor-made multi-day safaris across Kenya. We’re local, we’re small enough to care about every booking, and we know Nairobi’s wildlife on a first-name basis.

We built Safari Capital around a simple truth that still surprises people: Nairobi is the only capital city in the world with a national park inside its boundaries. That makes the city an unmatched safari base — you can watch wild rhino at dawn and be back for a city lunch. From that home advantage we run everything from half-day game drives to the full Maasai Mara Migration experience.

Our thesis

The safari capital of the world

Nairobi is the only capital city on Earth with a national park inside it — a genuinely wild ecosystem of rhino, lion, buffalo and giraffe minutes from downtown. That’s the idea our whole company is named for.

Nairobi National Park, gazetted in 1946, sits against the city skyline — the reason Nairobi can honestly call itself the safari capital of the world. It also makes the city the ideal launchpad for Kenya’s greater parks: the Mara, Amboseli, Nakuru and Tsavo are all within reach. We help you make the most of both the park on the city’s doorstep and the wilderness beyond it. Learn more on the Nairobi National Park safari page.

Our guides

Our guides

Our driver-guides are experienced, licensed Kenyan professionals who know the parks intimately and love sharing them — the single biggest factor in a great safari.

A good guide is the difference between passing through a park and truly seeing it. Ours combine deep local knowledge — where the lions denned last week, when the mountain will be clear — with the patience and warmth that make a day out enjoyable for families, photographers and first-timers alike. They handle the logistics so you can focus on the wildlife.

Responsible

Responsible tourism

We support conservation and communities: park and reserve fees fund wildlife protection, and we favour ethical wildlife experiences like the Sheldrick orphan-elephant project and the Giraffe Centre’s breeding programme.

Every park entry you pay contributes directly to protecting Kenya’s wildlife. We highlight conservation-led attractions, brief guests on responsible wildlife viewing, and work with local communities and camps. Seeing these animals thrive is the whole point — and keeping it that way matters to us.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does Safari Capital do?
We’re a Nairobi-based private tour operator running guided game drives and day tours in and around the city — Nairobi National Park, the Sheldrick elephants, the Giraffe Centre, city and culture tours — plus tailor-made multi-day safaris to the Maasai Mara, Amboseli and beyond.
Are your tours private?
Yes. Every Safari Capital tour is private — your own vehicle, guide and pace — rather than a shared group tour, so we can tailor the day to you and follow the wildlife.
Is your pricing all-inclusive?
Our quoted prices include the private vehicle, driver-guide, park entry and any stated admissions, with no surprise gate fees. Lunch (unless stated), tips and personal extras are the usual exceptions.
Do you pick up from the airport?
Yes — we collect from JKIA and Wilson Airport as well as any Nairobi hotel, with transfers included in tour prices. That makes us a great choice for long layovers.
How do I book?
Email your dates, group size and interests to tours@safaricapital.org or use safaricapital.org/contact. We reply with a fixed quote and itinerary, usually within about 24 hours; a deposit secures your date.
Can you arrange multi-day safaris beyond Nairobi?
Absolutely. We tailor safaris to the Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and other parks, by road or fly-in, matched to your budget and schedule.
