Why choose a full day over a half day?

Lunch and the Hippo Pools walk

Best time of year for a full day
The dry seasons — late June to October and January to February — give the best game-viewing and the most comfortable full-day conditions.
In the dry months, thinner vegetation and animals concentrating at water make a long day especially rewarding, and tracks stay firm.
